My Story
I Was Never Meant to Be Small

All my life I spent so much energy trying to make myself smaller in every way. But the truth is — I am not small in any way. I don't have a small body, a small smile, a small personality or even a small heart.
Somewhere along the way, even though I was never small, I still struggled in feeling that I was never enough. And I know I'm not alone in that. A lot of us have felt it.
These days, I'm just working on letting my confidence finally match the rest of me. God gave me a natural gift for seeing the funny and sharing the funny — and I've always kept it clean because that's just who I am. When you can laugh at the ridiculous lies you've believed your whole life, you start to rewrite the story.
So here's to showing up big, bold, and joyful — because I was never meant to be small anyway.

Certified Clean Comedian
In February 2026, Susan was recognized by the Clean Comedy Collective, honoring her commitment to clean, family-friendly comedy.
Where I Come From
I grew up in Rockbridge County, Virginia. I have a degree in education from Radford University and taught for 8 years in both private and public education before coming home to be a full-time mom.
My husband Chris and I live in Staunton where we raised our two sons, Kyle and Luke. These days I teach and tutor from home.
From an early age, I found that making people laugh was a gift. I was even voted class clown in high school!
Most days you can find me surrounded by friends on a pool float, telling my funny stories and looking for new material to turn into my next comedy bit!

Where the Magic Happens
Some comedians write at a desk. I write my best material on a pool float, surrounded by friends, sharing stories and finding the funny in everyday life.
Thank you for coming along with me on this fun journey!
